Metric Engineering, Inc.’s (MEI) environmental staff members are industry leaders in marine and coastal ecology services. MEI’s staff have provided marine and coastal services to state agencies including the South Florida Water Management District and the Florida Department of Transportation, utilities including FPL and AT&T and private waterfront developments. Our Marine and Coastal Services include resource assessments, permitting, planning, habitat restoration and mitigation.

• Permitting to include Environmental Resource Permits from FDEP, water management districts and the US Army Corps of Engineers, Miami-Dade DERM Class I Permits and Broward Environmental Resource Licenses, Sovereign Submerged Land permitting, mangrove trimming permits and Coastal Construction Control Line permitting.
• Seagrass, mangrove, marshland and artificial reef habitat mitigation design
• Construction services including FWC - Certified manatee, sea turtle and smalltooth sawfish observation, turbidity monitoring and coral relocation
• Mitigation and impact site monitoring
